Kids assessment and care to help light the way forward

Dr Amanda Mazzoni is an experienced psychologist with a passion for delivering quality, meaningful child-centric assessments and reports that help kids (and families) access the help they need.

She has spent years researching interventions that work best for children with disabilities and channels this into her dedicated focus at Kids Assessment.

Dr Amanda continues to work closely with kids and their families, supporting them on their journey through assessment and diagnosis and onto intervention, skill-building and schooling. She is a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), Academic Unit of Child Psychiatry, UNSW.

Dr Louisa Gibson is a Clinical Neuropsychologist trained in providing assessments and diagnoses across all age groups, including developmental delay, intellectual disability, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), specific learning disorders (including dyslexia), dementia, and other disorders that impact cognition.

She also conducts decision-making capacity assessments and is trained in the assessment and diagnosis of autism in all age groups.

With experience in the NDIS space, she believes psychology works best when everyone collaborates to improve outcomes for the client.

Dr Louisa completed her tertiary education at the University of Sydney and Macquarie University. Her clinical training took place at Westmead Children’s Hospital, Liverpool Hospital and Concord Hospital. Louisa has worked at the Prince of Wales Hospital and the School of Psychiatry at UNSW and has experience in both clinical and research work.

Dr Kylie Henderson is Kids Assessment’s Clinical Psychologist and the Founder and Managing Director of our parent organisation, Humanity Health Group.

She holds a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology and has been practicing mental health and return-to-work for more than 20 years.

Dr Kylie’s interests lie in the fields of community wellbeing, technology and enhanced healthcare outcomes as she strives to improve the sector for current and future generations.

She embraces the opportunity to share her expertise and insights about the ever-changing allied health sector and mental health reforms.

Stephanie is an experienced Behaviour Support Clinician, with a background of providing compassionate care for more than 10 years across early childhood education and disability care. In her role as National Operations Manager, Stephanie oversees all operations, including helping to get services under way for participants with a well-matched clinician.

Stephanie is passionate about helping the children and families Kids Assessment works with, providing supervision and support to clinicians so they can assist to the best of their abilities, delivering exceptional outcomes for kids.

Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science, Certificate 3 and Diploma in Child Education and Care, Certificate 4 in Disability, Certificate in Leadership and Management.

Sarah is a registered Psychologist and Behaviour Support Practitioner, with experience providing high-quality, person-centred care across diverse populations and cultures, including through private clinics, schools and the disability sector for the past five years.

As State Manager, Sarah enjoys “the best of both words”. She supports children and families through completing functional and diagnostic assessments, and delivers ongoing intervention to enable them to build skills and reach their full potential. Sarah also supports Kids Assessment’s multidisciplinary team across all of Australia, ensuring they are equipped to deliver the best services possible. Sarah loves being able to connect with kids and families and becoming their best advocate, proudly watching the amazing progress they can achieve, no matter how big or small it may seem.

Sarah holds a Masters in Educational and Developmental Psychology.

Isabelle is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist and Early Years Educator with a rich background in supporting children’s communication development across homes, schools, and community settings.

With a keen focus on Early Childhood Development, she specialises in early language facilitation, functional communication, and a range of targeted interventions including Key Word Sign, Sounds Write Phonics DTTC for Apraxia of Speech, and the SOS Approach to feeding.

Currently enhancing her skills in Gestalt Language Processing (Meaningful Speech) and DIR Floortime, Isabelle is dedicated to fostering social-emotional growth and language development in children through developmentally appropriate, play-based methods.

She has a special interest in working with Autistic children and their families. Her approach is deeply rooted in neurodiversity affirmation, emphasising the unique strengths and needs of each child and family to build meaningful relationships and effective communication pathways.
